DOCHERTY — WILLIAM BUCHANAN (BILLY). Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at Darnley Court Nursing Home, on Saturday 18th March 2017, Billy, dearly loved and loving husband of Joy, father of Joan, Maeve and Willie, father-in-law and friend of Andy, Emma and Fraser. Cherished Pappy of Elizabeth, Fergus, Neil, Eleanor, Billy, Ellie, Lewis and Rory. Fortified by rites of the Holy Church, R.I.P. Reception and vigil at St Albert’s Church, Pollokshields, on Friday 24th March at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday 25th March at 9am. Thereafter to Craigton Crematorium. No flowers please. Donations if so desired to Alzheimer Scotland.

Dear Joy I wish to convey my sincere sympathy to you and your family on the sad loss of your husband Billy. I don't buy the Herald and only occasionally have a quick look at it in Waitrose Byes Rd when I have a coffee . I so happened to buy it today to read about Theresa May's meeting with Sturgeon and it was only by chance late this evening happened to see your name when quickly scanning Announcements section. I presumed it was your notice when I checked the Mgr.Magee was parish priest of St. Albert's.
It would be nice to meet up when you are feeling better and have had time to get over your bereavement.
