DAVIS GEORGE (watchmaker and clockmaker). Peacefully, after a long illness, George, beloved husband of Etta and loving father of Susan, Laura and Jill, also a proud grandfather to Andrew, Alix, James and Calum. Funeral service at Linn Crematorium, Lainshaw Drive, on Saturday, 20th May at 12 noon.

A real gentleman who had incredible skills in watch and clock making. His shop in Cathcart road was a treasure house of timekeeping pieces, but the stories he told surpassed everything else - it was worth going in just to listen.
