SIMPSON Sheriff I.C., QC (Edinburgh) On 11th December 2017, Ian Christopher, loving and much loved husband and father of Annie, Richard and Graham, father-in-law of Victoria and Caroline and devoted Pops to Rosie, Matilda, Harry and Verity. At his request, a private funeral will be held. Letters and messages welcome.

Very sorry to read this today. Ian Simpson was the very first Advocate I was introduced to when I started my traineeship and I often sat beside him through High Court trials (I would not say I was 'instructing him'). He was a thorough gentleman and he retained that characteristic when sitting on both the Shrieval and High Court benches. A sad loss at such a young age. My condolences to the family.
