McLURE JOHN. Peacefully, on Monday 17th September 2018, at Whitefield Lodge, Lennoxtown. John is survived by his wife Tilly, son Iain and daughter-in-law Anita. John was born in 1925, had a long and distinguished career in the Post Office as Assistant Head Postmaster in Chester, Assistant Head Postmaster in Newcastle and retiring as Assistant Head Postmaster of Glasgow in 1985. The funeral will be held at Daldowie Crematorium, Broomhouse, on Tuesday 25th September at 9.45am. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Whitefield Lodge.
