NISBET ANDY. Tragically, in a climbing accident on Ben Hope, on Tuesday, 5th February, 2019, Andy, aged 65 years, greatly missed by all the family. Ceremony in Aberdeen Crematorium (West Chapel), Hazlehead on Wednesday, 20th February at 1.15pm, to which all friends are warmly invited. No flowers please but donations for Assynt and Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Teams. Dress casual, please.

I knew Andy because he married my friend Gill. She and I were climbing pals from Wirral days in the 1980s. I am so very saddened by Andy's death, and send my condolences to his family, friends, and also to those who rescued him. I feel very privileged to have a mountain memory of Andy climbing on Suilven, when family and friends were there to celebrate dear Gill's 50th birthday. Such a gentle, sympathetic, dynamic man with a ready smile that lit up all around. Diana Steedman
