McVICAR JOHN. Judith, John and Kirsty would like to thank, most sincerely, their family and friends for the flowers, cards and messages of condolence they received following the sad loss of John, a much loved and loving husband and dad. They are so grateful for the wonderful support from the doctors and staff at Alyth Health Centre, Cornhill Macmillan Centre in Perth and the district nurses from Alyth, Coupar Angus, Blairgowrie and Perth for making it possible for John to remain at home. To the many, many people who attended the funeral to pay their respects to John despite the dreadful weather, The Rev. Carleen Robertson for her comforting words and Liz McLaren for playing, so beautifully, John's favourite music, to Kevin and his team at McNaughton's Funeral Directors for their professional and caring service, Something Special Florist for the beautiful flowers and Jim Duncan and his staff at the Ardler Tavern for the wonderful catering in Meigle Village Hall, thank you all. The collection at the service raised the amazing sum of £1,983.48 which will be divided between Cornhill Macmillan Centre and The RSABI, supporting people in agriculture. A fine tribute to a fine man.
