Peter & Bambi Heaven’s new comedy show ‘When Love Becomes Magic’ will be at the Assembly George Square Piccolo Tent for the month of August.

1 Tell us about your Fringe show

We are Peter and Bambi Heaven, and we’re Australia’s most deluded dancing magicians, we’re all about a little thing we call the triple threat; dance, magic and more dance.

After a huge year smashing Vegas and Frances Got Talent, we’ve come back to the Fringe with a brand-new hour of death defying stunts, high-powered romance and catastrophic magic with our second show ‘Peter and Bambi Heaven When Love Becomes Magic’.

2 Best thing about the Fringe?

The best thing about the Fringe is the people. We’ve played some of the biggest venues in the world and no-one is as up for a good time as Edinburgh audiences. When we walk out on that stage, we put our foot down and go as hard and fast as we can. It's the best festival in the world, its got the best punters and they deserve the best and with humility that's what we are.

3 Worst thing about the Fringe?

The weather is pretty rough, we’re used to non-stop sun on the Gold Coast so the rain and grey days are pretty hard for us to handle. We usually tour with an in house tanning bed to keep our tans tight and our vitamin D up.

4 How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?

This is our second year, but we feel like we’ve been coming here for bloody ages. I guess Edinburgh can make you feel like a bit of an old soul.

5 Favourite Fringe venue?

Its gotta be the Assembly Gardens, when the suns out its paradise. Smash a couple of pints in the sun then catch a show in the Piccolo tent, best way to spend a day at the Fringe.

6 Best Fringe memory?

I reckon its gotta be our last show at the Fringe in 2016. The whole run had been a dream, great crowds, with fantastic energy and big laughs. The last night there was a bungle with tickets and we were oversold. People piling in on people, sitting the aisles and just losing it. We’ll never forget it, it was unforgettable.

7 Best heckle?

We were doing a show in Mt Isa in Australia’s outback and things got a bit spicy. Some guy goes off half-cocked and throws a can of XXXX beer at me. I swear to God, I caught it then Bambi grabbed it out of my hand, looked and him and said: "we prefer Fosters" then downed it in one go, it was bananas.

8 Craziest on stage experience?

Once at a show in Townsville I was doing an illusion with my previous assistant Sheeree Jamieson and she caught on fire, it was harrowing. Now we don’t talk anymore which is heartbreaking to me, because she can’t.

9 How do you wind down after a show?

We usually head home, have a couple of chardonnays. We do a lot of physical training and psychotic mental work to keep ourselves honed.

10 What do you love about Scotland?

The people and the food, there’s nothing better than a full Scottish Breakfast and we’ve wanted to come here ever since we saw that film, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves - love Kevin Costner.

11 What do you like about Edinburgh?

We can’t get enough of the history; everything’s so OLD! The place could do with a little less rain and a little bit more sun, but that’s the only change I’d make. Its one of our favorite places in the world, outside of Burleigh Heads of course.

12 Favourite Scottish food/drink?

Full Scottish Breakfast is a bloody fantastic way to start the day, and Bambi can’t get enough fudge, she’ll go through a kg a week!

13 Sum up your show in three words
