Not one to be upstaged, Liam Gallagher could be seen fuming as a Glasgow reveller scaled on site rigging half-way through his TRNSMT set on Saturday evening.

The Oasis and Beady Eye frontman demanded the man ‘jump or come down’ before the gig at Glasgow Green would resume.

The incident was half expected as the alcohol-fuelled, sun-drenched second day of the festival came to an end.

Rowdy sets from Castlemilk-sensation Gerry Cinnamon and Manchester favourites the Courteeners set the tone for what was to come for the legendary Liam Gallagher and the crowds definitely saved themselves for the closing performance.

Unauthorised flares covered the crowd as Gallagher - still at loggerheads with his brother and Oasis founder Noel - took to the stage with opener Rock ‘n’ Roll Star before keeping the Oasis contingent happy with (What’s The Story) Morning Glory.

At the headline festival slot, fans who had come to terms with the fact they may never see Oasis reform, were ecstatic to witness at least one of the band perform some of their greatest hits.

The most memorable moments came in the form of an acoustic rendition of Live Forever, which he previously dedicated to the victims of the Manchester Arena Terror attack, and crowd-pleaser Slide Away.

Gallagher previously claimed that he would never go solo before announcing his debut solo project just twelve months later.

The much-anticipated record went platinum and won over fans who had previously written him off as the bratty younger brother of Noel.

Tracks from As You Were resounded particularly with younger members of the crowd who were witnessing the live presence of Gallagher for the first time.

Greedy Soul and For What It’s Worth proved that there is more lurking beneath the parka than a bad boy persona and social media one-liners.

Despite the late interruption, Gallagher managed to keep the crowd onside with his trademark swagger and no-nonsense approach.
