  • What is your Fringe show about?

In a nutshell it's an idiot (me) trying to explain the universe in under an hour- I got married recently and then I watched a documentary that basically told me the universe is so huge that's everything is pointless so I thought I would try and make sense of it all- it's really stupid and silly.

  • How many times/many years have you appeared at the Fringe?

This is my ninth hour long show but the first time I have ever really had a theme or a purpose to my show it's given me an extra edge and some focus that I haven't ever had before.

  • What’s your most memorable moment from the Fringe?

I’ll never forget my first fringe nomination (for a Malcolm hardy award) and my first sell out at the pleasance were special moments for me. But, the most memorable moment came last year, my mum and dad came up to celebrate my old man's 60th and we couldn't find anywhere to have a celebratory dinner. Then, the Flying Scotsman said they could fit 9 of us in at short notice- we were really surprised to have our own little dining room. It wasn't until we heard a set of doors open and a pinging noise that we realised that they had set us up a table in the lift lobby!

  • What’s the worst thing about the Fringe?

Getting a table! No I think just how much the performers have to outlay in order to have a good run- everyone seems to make a ton of money out of Edinburgh apart from the performers and the punters 5 If you were not a performer what would you be doing?

I think I would have been in a band I am obsessed with music. That or I'd be a wrestler- a scrawny annoying one but a wrestler none the less.

  • How do you prepare for a performance?

By listening to music to fire me up and just remembering that it's a massive honour for people to want to spend time with me for an hour so I try and really appreciate that.

  • What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve ever done?

DFM - deep fried Mars bar. That or going to the Penny Black when that was still around.

  • Favourite Scottish food/drink?

I love a macaroni pie.

  • Sum up your show in three words

Unique Idiot Intergalactic
