The Pin are performing Backstage at Pleasance Courtyard (Pleasance Two) during August.

  • What is your Fringe show about?

In our show Backstage we play the support act to an older and more successful double act. After our warm up set we 'go backstage' to our dressing room, which is where the majority of the rest of the show takes place. So it becomes a behind the scenes look at our lives as these downtrodden understudy type figures, but mainly it's an excuse for a lot of nonsense and messing around.

  • How many times/many years have you appeared at the Fringe?

This is our fourth show as a duo.

  • What’s your most memorable moment from the Fringe?

One year we thought we saw David Baddiel in the audience, but afterwards we realised it was someone else. Wonderful scenes.

  • What’s the worst thing about the Fringe?

You make too much money from it and it's hard to know what to do with it all.

  • If you were not a performer what would you be doing?

Q and A experts for hire.

  • How do you prepare for a performance?

Write and rehearse the show for around 8 months, then slam down a Lucozade and introduce yourself to the audience.

New Town doesn't mind looking the absolute biz, so it's always a treat to stride around it murmuring 'ooh, yeah. Lovely.'

  • What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve ever done?

Be in a relationship with a Scot for 6 years?

  • Favourite Scottish food/drink?

Always happy to see a slab of smoked fish on a plate.

  • Sum up your show in three words

Very Funny Hopefully.
