Graphic Content is currently on holiday but we thought we would leave you with a glimpse of the endpapers of Ricardo Cavolo’s new book 101 Movies To Watch Before You Die.

The Spanish illustrator, who was born in his father’s art studio in Salamanca, has a thing about cinema and a thing about eyes. (You may have noticed.)

“This book is really an outpouring of my cinematic loves,” Cavolo explains in the introduction, “regardless of how they’re regarded by the critics. Don’t expect a synopsis or any kind of critical analysis in this book. The only thing you’ll find here is me genuinely loving every single one of these movies.”

You might argue with his choices of course. Frankly, I could happily die before watching Guy Richie’s Snatch again. But what comes across in Cavolo’s enthusiastic prose and even more in his eye-popping visuals is love. Here's his take on Star Wars, for example.

The Herald:

All of which leaves us with your puzzle for today. How many of the movies in Cavolo's illustration that accompanies this post can you name? I reckon there are 25 in all. (A couple, to be fair, you can only glimpse, so I will let you off those and there are two images of the same film.)

What are you waiting for? Get to work.

101 Movies To Watch Before You Die, by Ricardo Cavolo, is published by Nobrow, priced £14,99
