1 Tell us about your Fringe show

A pub lock-in with nine of the best singers you’ll hear at the Fringe. We've got singing, dancing, poetry and plenty of drinking. I'm pretty sure we've got something for everyone.

2 How does it feel to be playing the Fringe for the first time?

Incredibly exciting, I had the chance to perform at the Fringe last year in a play but had to pull out due a scheduling conflict. So it's great to get another chance. It's such a special place to perform and it's been a goal of mine to get up here for a while.

3 Best live act you’ve seen at a Fringe?

Tim Key, Single White Slut. A poetic odyssey through his sexual and romantic failings, delivered from his bed. I was enthralled, disgusted and in stitches all at the same time!

4 Best thing about the Fringe?

When you've had a lot to drink and you decide to see something ridiculous at stupid o'clock in the morning, like an Elvis impersonator singing Shakespeare's Sonnets.

5 Worst thing about the Fringe?

Being so far North that pints stop getting cheap anymore.

6 If you were not a performer what would you be doing?

Working with deaf children in the Deaf Support base at St Pauls Way Trust School in London. It’s what I did before I was an actor. Its an incredible environment with some brilliant people.

7 How do you combat pre-gig nerves?

I walk around the theatre and sing ‘I’m forever blowing bubbles’ (I'm a West Ham) to myself for a couple of minutes and I imagine I’m back at Upton Park with my Dad. It’s my happy place, it always relaxes me and brings a smile to my face…although I can’t do it for too long because I’ll think of home defeats and the performances of Gary Breen, it'll throw me off and then I’ll probably forget my lines.

8 Worst on stage experience?

I was playing Pilate in a production of Jesus Christ Superstar and I had to count to 39 during a song. One night it all got a bit murky around 21 and I completely forgot where I was. I just started saying random numbers. Maths was never my strong point.

9 What do you love about Scotland?

Sean Connery and whisky.

10 What do you like about Edinburgh?

Going to Murryfield to watch the Six Nations. It's a brilliant city for a weekend session.

11 What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve ever done?

The first things that pop into my mind when you mention Scotland are drinking and having a scrap. I haven't had a scrap for a long time but recently I was woken up by some binmen after a particularly heavy night in Barcelona. That's pretty Scottish right?

12 Favourite Scottish food/drink?

There's only one answer. Irn Bru.
