AS the trio of older chaps who now comprise "boy" band Take That take up residence in Glasgow for a three-night run at the SEC Hydro, tickets are, of course, already completely sold out, as they are for much of the Wonderland tour.

On Friday June 9, however, the show at London's O2 arena will be beamed to cinemas across the UK and Europe in the band's latest link-up with "event cinema" specialists CinemaLive, giving fans of Gary, Mark and Howard the chance to enjoy the view from a ringside seat for their "in the round" performance. The UK picturehouses signed up for the screening extend all the way to the Merlin Cinema on Thurso.

BLUES singer and guitarist John Hunt plays a fundraising concert for Cupar Golf Club at the club’s premises on Saturday, May 20. As well as playing the instrument, London-born Hunt makes his own guitars, including one he made from papier mache and another from supermarket shelving. Hunt, who has a Tuesday residency at the Jazz Bar in Edinburgh, also recorded his latest album, a 10” limited edition of 33 copies, using microphones created from telephone exchange materials. The fundraiser is part of Cupar Blues & Beyond Club’s programme to promote live music in the Fife town and begins at 7:30pm.
