Confessions of the Paparazzi (C4, 9pm)

We've all heard of the paparazzi, those photographers who seem to lie in wait for celebrities to make a faux pas, take a snap of it and then flog the evidence to the highest bidder - or at least, that's what some sections of the media would have us believe they all do. Viewers get a chance to see whether this perception of them is true by watching this one-off documentary, which follows freelance photographer George Bamby and his apprentice Bilko as they attempt to take potentially lucrative pictures of Britney Spears, Little Mix, Wayne Rooney, Dawn French, Katie Hopkins and Judge Rinder. He's seen using all the skills at his disposal in pursuit of the perfect shot, and shares colourful anecdotes about encounters with some less-than-thrilled celebrities.

SAS: Rogue Warriors (BBC2, 9pm)

New series. Ben Macintyre uses the SAS archives to examine the history of the British Army special forces unit combining documents, unseen footage and interviews with its founding members to tell the remarkable story behind an extraordinary fighting force. In the first edition, he looks at its formation in the heat of the north African desert in 1941, when eccentric young British army officer David Archibald Stirling had a vision for a new kind of war in which the enemy was attacked from behind their own lines.

The Halcyon (ITV, 9pm)

Life at the hotel continues as the Blitz rages. Emma finds Joe waiting for her at the staff entrance, remarkably curious about her work for the WVS, while Toby is worried sick after hearing a bomb fell on a shelter in Adil's neighbourhood of Paddington and killed everyone inside. Billy visits the kitchens and tells Dora that he has a job for her, while Lucian offers Lady Hamilton emotional support and Betsey and Sonny have a major altercation. Drama, starring Olivia Williams and Steven Mackintosh.
