A CHARITY event, Art for Hearts Sake, is to be held at The Store Interiors, a furniture retailers at 26 Munro Place, Anniesland, Glasgow.
A preview will take place April 9 from 1 – 5 pm, and a large number of artists will be exhibiting their works at our premises between April 9 and May 7.
All proceeds from sales of the art are being split 50 /50 between the artists and the store's two nominated charities, CHAS and Marie Curie.
Artists exhibiting will include Lex MacFadyen, Donnie McLeod, Charlie Jamieson, Lesley Banks, Sian McQueen, Nori Rakhra and Moe Rocksmoore.

BROOKLYN-based singer-songwriter Rebecca Pronsky, pictured, returns to Scotland to play three concerts on a UK tour in support of her new single, Where Are You Now?
The song was written in response to the American Presidential election in November and follows Pronsky’s latest album, Known Objects, which was released last year to enthusiastic reviews on both sides of the Atlantic.
She is accompanied on tour by guitarist Rich Bennett and plays Kilbarchan Performing Arts Centre on Friday, April 14; a house concert in Edinburgh on Saturday, April 15; and The Doublet, Glasgow on Monday, April 17.

JAZZ at Hospitalfield in Arbroath has announced its programme for April and May.
Award-winning Danish guitarist Jacob Fischer returns to the club on Saturday, April 15. A winner of the Django d'or title as the European jazz performer of the year in 2001, Fischer played for many years with violinist Svend Asmussen, who died at the age of a hundred in February, and has also appeared alongside pianist Monty Alexander, trumpeter Art Farmer, and saxophonist Lee Konitz among many other top jazz players.
He is followed on Saturday, May 13 by singer Tina May and pianist Brian Kellock who will be presenting their Ella & Oscar programme to mark the centenary of jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald.

COVE Park, the artists’ centre on the Rosneath peninsula in Argyll and Bute, has revealed a Hands-On series of events, classes and public events, designed to mirror the content of Cove Park’s residency programme across craft and design, film, literature, performing and visual arts. The events are led by artists, currently or formerly resident at Cove Park.
The choice includes Eco-Dyeing with Laura Aldridge and Writing Crisis with Margie Orford for adult participants and the Photo Cinema Holiday Art Club and a Saturday Art Club for 7-11 year olds, led by Jenny Hunter and Soizig Carey.
Hands-On is a two-year pilot programme, running until summer 2018, and many of the events and activities take place in Cove Park’s expanded Artist Centre which opened in July 2016.
