TWO new independent non-executive directors have been appointed to the board of CYBG, the recently listed holding company that owns Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks.

Clive Adamson currently holds non-executive directorships at Ashmore Group, the emerging markets investment manager, insurance company Prudential and investment bank JP Morgan’s wealth management arm. He was also a previous board member of city watchdog the Financial Conduct Authority. Mr Adamson will join the board on 1 July.

Paul Coby is currently information technology director at John Lewis and a member of the John Lewis management board. He was previously chief information officer at British Airways. He is also a non-executive of retailer Pets at Home and Societe Internationale De Telecommunications Aeronautiques, a multinational IT and telecoms company servicing the air transport industry. Previous board appointments include P&O Ferries. Mr Coby joins the board on 1 June.
