OIL services giant Wood Group has appointed a senior executive to lead the integration of the Amec Foster Wheeler engineering business that it has made a recommended £2.2 billion bid for. Aberdeen-based Wood said Michele McNichol has been appointed to the new role of executive president – integration, after running the division that provides services such as production platform maintenance in the western hemisphere. Wood Group chief executive Robin Watson said: “Although the potential acquisition still requires regulatory and shareholder approval, there is already much work to be done in relation to integration planning.”
