THE Michelin tyre factory in Dundee has been boosted by a £16.5 million investment package.

The finance, which is £12m from Michelin and £4.5m from Scottish Enterprise via an Environ-mental Protection Grant, will help the company meet demand for larger tyres.

Michelin will invest in manufacturing technology which will allow it to cut C02 emissions by 7,140 tonnes per year. First Minster Nicola Sturgeon said the investment will support 850 skilled jobs.
