AGGREKO, the temporary power specialist, has revealed it is in talks which could lead to a contract win in Bangladesh.

The Glasgow-based company issued a statement to the stock market yesterday noting media reports that it had been awarded work in the South Asian country. “We confirm that we are currently in discussions and we are unable to comment further at this stage,” the statement said.

The talks come after Aggreko reported last week that currency exchange rates and fuel price fluctuations helped lift turnover to £792 million in the six months to the end of June.
