FORMER Scottish Enterprise chief executive Lena Wilson has been appointed by the University of Strathclyde as a visiting professor.

Ms Wilson, who stepped down from the top job at taxpayer-backed Scottish Enterprise last year, will deliver lectures to students in Strathclyde Business School during her three-year appointment.

Professor Sir Jim McDonald, principal and vice-chancellor of the university, said: “Lena is a hugely experienced business professional who has a comprehensive overview of the business sector in Scotland, economic development policy and public sector agencies.”

Ms Wilson is a non-executive director of Royal Bank of Scotland and quality and safety solutions group Intertek.
