A CARAVAN park in Dumfries & Galloway has been put up for sale, with offers of more than £1.2 million being sought.

Doonpark Holiday Park, which property consultancy Galbraith noted was a family-owned business established in 1969, is outside Kippford and offers views over the Urr Water and surrounding countryside.

Galbraith, which is marketing the property as a going concern, noted that the three-year average annual turnover of Doonpark was “in the order of £205,000”. The caravan park covers about 10.75 acres, and is licensed for 154 units

The park currently has 123 static pitches and six touring pitches. Galbraith noted this meant there was scope for additional pitches within the site. The sale also includes a four-bedroom house, which Galbraith said would be “ideally suited as accommodation for the owner or manager of the park”.

Galbraith noted Kippford had an “established” sailing community, and an annual regatta organised by Solway Yacht Club.
