DEMAND for office space in Leith boomed in the first half amid the regeneration of the former industrial heartlands north of Edinburgh city centre. Property advisory firm GVA said the amount of space let or subject to offer in the period was 27 per cent higher than the area taken in the whole of 2017. Director of business space Peter Fraser said the speed of the revitalisation of Leith had been remarkable making it an attractive place to live and work. He noted a wide range of businesses had taken space over the past 12 months, including creative firms, estate agents, website developers and security service providers.
