OFFICE investment deals worth a total of £124 million were secured in Edinburgh between April and June, the highest tally outside London.

Activity in the Scottish capital was boosted by MAS Real Estate’s £71m acquisition of New Uberior House, and the sale by Scottish developer Chris Stewart Group of The Mint Building to Hines for £53m.

Stuart Agnew of property firm GVA, which released the figures, said: “Sentiment in Edinburgh has been strong for some time and the latest figures only underline the confidence in the market. Both domestic and international investors are interested in good quality stock with excellent liquidity and rental growth prospects.”
