One of Scotland’s leading litigation lawyers has been named as the new head of dispute resolution at Aberdein Considine.

Euan McSherry has been involved in some of the country's most high profile litigation cases over the past two decades, including the provision of contractual and litigation advice in complex cases involving Scottish Professional Football League clubs.

More recently, he acted for Serco in a £400 million procurement challenge and also represented pharmaceuticals giant Pfizer in two appeals to the Inner House.

A Solicitor Advocate with rights of audience in both the Court of Session and the UK’s Supreme Court, he has joined the firm as a partner, based in Edinburgh.

He was previously a partner with DWF LLP where he led the multinational firm’s litigation team in Scotland.

Mr McSherry provides advice to clients across a range of sectors including retail, food and hospitality, and banking, and specialises in corporate and commercial work, insolvency, real estate, corporate crime and reputational risk management.

Jaqueline Law, Aberdein Considine managing partner, said Mr McSherry is "one of Scotland’s most highly rated litigation experts".

She added: "His knowledge and experience will be vital for our clients as we look to help them protect their businesses and support their growth ambitions.

"He is a lawyer of the highest calibre.”

Mr McSherry said: "In leading the team my focus will be to ensure that we use all the tools and resources at our disposal to make sure our clients get the very best support and advice, where and when they need it."
