The Whisky Bond noted that film-maker Josephine Lohoar Self had taken 344 sq ft of space, and event support company Five Star Crew had moved into a 1,638 sq ft space.

Existing tenants at The Whisky Bond have meanwhile moved into larger spaces, as a result of their growth.

The Whisky Bond said that independent energy efficiency consultancy Carbon Futures had moved to a larger, 713 sq ft space. It noted that events and publishing company Tag Digital had also expanded into a larger space.

The seven-storey, 100,000 sq ft building is located on the Forth and Clyde Canal. It was built in 1957 by Highland Distilleries, and was used as a bonded warehouse.

The building was later used as a mushroom factory. It was refurbished by a joint venture partnership, led by Isis Waterside Regeneration, re-opening in 2012.

Fiona MacFadyen, at The Whisky Bond, said: “We are really pleased to see not only new tenants moving to the building, but existing tenants succeeding and expanding into larger spaces as they take on more people.

“There’s a real buzz about the building as new companies move in, bringing with them fresh ideas and new collaboration opportunities, and as we see existing companies thriving and developing. There is so much energy and innovation in the creative sector at the moment and it’s exciting to see the work being done at The Whisky Bond.”
