A caravan park in South West Scotland has been sold for more than the £1.2 million asking price.

Property consultancy Galbraith said the Doonpark Holiday Park at Kippford in Dumfries & Galloway was bought by a private family business, which it did not name.

The park was established in 1969 as a family-owned business.
