As it marks 30 years of operation, Edinburgh visitor attraction The Scotch Whisky Experience has announced three senior promotions.

A triumvirate of “whisky women” is now running the business as executive directors. Susan Morrison has been appointed as chief executive from her role as director and general manager. Julie Trevisan Hunter, previously head of marketing, becomes marketing director and former deputy general manager Angela Dineen become operations director. All three are now on the board of the five-star rated visitor attraction.

Ms Morrison, who heads a 90-strong team, has worked at the Scotch Whisky Experience since it opened its doors in 1988. Ms Dineen has been there for 15 years and Ms Trevisan Hunter joined 22 years ago.

Since 2009, the Scotch Whisky Experience has undergone upgrades worth £8 million.
