AGGREKO chief executive Chris Weston has seen the value of his annual pay package increase by around 30 per cent. The annual report of the Glasgow-based temporary power specialist shows Mr Weston earned total remuneration of £1,909,155 in 2016, up from £1,485,516 in the preceding year. Mr Weston received shares worth £706,000 in the latest year under a programme agreed when he joined Aggreko from Centrica in 2014, to compensate him for the forfeiture of long term incentives from his former employment. In the preceding year he received £483,392 to compensate him for the annual bonus he forfeited as a result of his resignation from Centrica. Mr Weston received a £202,500 bonus in 2016 but none in 2015. Chief financial officer Carole Cran earned £701,916 total remuneration in 2016, up 15 per cent from £611,495 in the preceding year. She earned £107,120 bonus in 2016.
