Investing Women expands board

The Herald:

ALL-female business angel group, Investing Women, has added three new members to its board. 
Restaurant entrepreneur Sanja Moll and former investment banker Evelyn Simpson become board members while Kirsty Paton, an entrepreneurial tax specialist at accountants Chiene + Tait, is appointed as board advisor.  
Edinburgh-based Ms Moll co-founded Salt Yard Group in 2005 which comprises of five award-winning London restaurants.
Jackie Waring, chief executive, said: “I’m delighted to be joined on our board by two highly successful and extremely capable women and equally pleased to have Kirsty, with her immense tax knowledge and expertise, joining as an advisor.”

Tourism body highlights business diversity of its board

FOUR business executives have been appointed to the board of The Scottish Tourism Alliance as it aims to strengthen the organisation’s position as ‘the voice of Scotland’s tourism industry’.
They are John Henderson (founder of Born in the Borders), Marshall Dallas (chief executive of Edinburgh International Conference Centre), Freda Newton (managing director of Loch Ness by Jacobite) and Scott Inglis (commercial director of Fishers Laundry Group).
Stephen Leckie, chairman, said: “These appointments highlight how committed we are to ensuring that the voice of Scotland’s tourism industry is represented with a diverse group of leaders.”
