Edinburgh’s £750 million Quartermile development has won gold for a record-breaking third time at the annual WhatHouse? Awards – the housebuilding industry’s Oscars. Previous winners of the top award for Best Mixed Use Development in 2010 and 2014, Quartermile’s managing director, Paul Curran says: "We are enormously proud to be the first to win a gold award in the same category three times – it really is an outstanding achievement and reinforces Quartermile’s reputation the UK’s prime residential and commercial location."

The development is scheduled for completion in 2018, at which point it will have over 1,000 apartments, of which more than 650 are already occupied with another 161 under construction. Prices currently start at £345,000 for a one-bed apartment.
