The Giant Lanterns of China event at RZSS Edinburgh Zoo is hosting Scotland’s biggest celebration of Chinese New Year, which began on February 16th, to welcome the Year of the Dog. Having attracted over 75,000 visitors so far, the event has been a great success.

Inspired by the magical trail of 469 gigantic lanterns including 30 giant pandas, a 19-foot high and 115-foot long Chinese dragon, 20 penguins and 25 flamingos, we’ve been enchanted with vibrant vivacious colours and bold texture clashes.

The Giant Lanterns of China event is now in its last week, final dates being Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th February. To ensure you don't miss out, head to edinburghzoo.org.uk/lanterns to book tickets with prices starting at £9.50.
