Grammys fashion never fails to divide opinion – and this year is no different.
Taylor Swift debuted a new hairdo and flashed her midriff in a red bandeau top with a hot pink skirt and gold high-heeled sandals.

Selena Gomez opted for a sparkly navy blue Calvin Klein gown with panels cut out at the midriff.
She told Ryan Seacrest on E!: “I wanted something that was simple and something I would do if I was going on a date. This is what I would do, and my date is Taylor.”
Lady Gaga’s David Bowie fashion nod on the red carpet was incredible. Her custom made Marc Jacobs outfit was eye-catching and incredible. Thank you Mrs Stardust.

See all of the best and worst fashion moments from the red carpet:
Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga wows in Marc Jacobs. Granted, we don’t see ourselves donning this any time soon, but it is beautifully crafted. The fact she’s even managing to walk on those heels is pretty impressive too.

New hairdo? Tick. Totally owning the red carpet with this look? Tick.
Adele

Hello, she’s arrived. The singer stuck to classic black and gets it right again.

Selena is stunning in sparkly blue. It’s a yes.
Ellie Goulding

Ellie is all about the rear view. Erm, back of her dress. Good frock, slightly less appealing hairdo.
Ariana Grande

Ariana is perfection in red.
Chrissy Teigen

John Legend’s lady love, Chrissy, is flawless in white with her baby bump.
Ciara

Ciara had better hope a breeze doesn’t blow. That dress is rather revealing.
Kaley Cuoco

The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley is right on the money with this white sparkly jumpsuit. Thumbs up.
Carrie Underwood

Carrie’s classically elegant in black. It’s a yes.
Joy Villa

We’re not really quite sure what to say about American singer Joy Villa’s outfit. It’s like Star Trek meets… Well, let’s leave it at that.
Manika
Manika (Jordan Strauss/AP)
American singer Manika is on the fringe of fashion. It’s a no.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
