What is it?
A portable electric cooler. Embracing the great outdoors has its lures, but doesn't come without challenges. It can be bad enough suffering lumpy ground, shared campsite loos and midges without having to endure the indignity of a warm beer.
Good Points?
With a capacity of 28 litres there is ample room to keep drinks and any perishable food items cool. Operated by plugging into the mains or any vehicle's 12V power output, the thermo-electric system keeps contents at 18C below the ambient temperature.
The efficiency comes from its impressive design with thick sturdy walls and a tight fitting lid to prevent heat penetrating and maintain insulation. The outer linings are treated with an anti-microbial compound to prevent harmful bacteria from entering and contaminating the goods inside.
Four operating modes include eco-friendly and also a night setting which reduces the fan speed and noise. It can also be used away from a power source using Campingaz Freeze Packs (£4.99).
Bad points?
Having such a tight seal requires quite a bit of effort to open the box. It already weighs 3.9kg (8.5lbs) empty, meaning you may not want to cart it too far once full of food and drinks.

You need to keep things frozen. The built-in frost prevention system prevents the cooler from going below 0C.
