What are they?

A pair of wireless ear-buds from Avanca. Many audio companies play fast and loose with the truth when it comes to the term "wireless audio", the lion's share having a cable connecting both ear-pieces. Avanca has dispensed with wires for a completely wireless product.

Good points?

The first thing you notice about the headphones is how lightweight they feel in both your hands and your ears. This allows the chassis to maintain stability and the buds to stay in the ear canal for long periods without discomfort.

The design is excellent with all aspects of music control catered for without the need for a separate remote control. Three buttons on the outer ear plate provide various actions such as pause, play, skip, rewind and volume changes.

I found the sound quality to be surprisingly effective with the buds providing an immersive experience. It feels like the audio is emanating deep within the ear rather than an artificial device connected to it.

The bass comes across well without being too dominant and at no point did any song reverberate in an unwanted way.

The buds are charged via a handy and neat looking pod that doubles as a carry case.

Bad points?

Due to the complete wireless construction there is a noticeable delay between what's playing and what you hear, which isn't a major issue when purely listening to audio.

Best for ...

Those who don't want to be shackled by any wires that can get tangled all too easily.

Avoid if ...

You regularly listen to live streaming video as the slight delay in audio is particularly noticeable.
