What is it?

A pair of Bluetooth speakers from Xqisit with added powerbank capabilities.

In a market full of audio products, it's important to consider all and not just what your friends or tech sites recommend. There are a lot of hidden gems to be discovered if you take the time to look. Xqisit with their S30 and S300 speakers are a case in point: little known outside Germany but who produce quality at a very competitive price.

Good Points?

The S300 and its smaller counterpart the S30 have similar specifications in sound output quality and built-in Digital Signal Processors which convert audio captured by the built-in microphone and converts it to digital sound.

Power banks have become a must-have in speakers and both models come equipped with the S30 giving 2500 mAh while the S300 doubles as a 5000 mAh power bank.

Setup couldn't be simpler. You merely enable Bluetooth on your phone and switch the speaker on. It only takes the device a few moments to recognise your mobile and away you go.

This simplicity is also present in the design with a sleek black chassis with rounded edges that look like a large smartphone.

Bad points?

The smaller S30 speaker is so good that it outshines the S300 when comparing them particularly in cost and performance.

Best for ...

Those daunted by the thought of setting up wireless music speakers as Xqisit's setup procedure it the simplest I've found.

Avoid if ...

Music and quality take a back seat and you are more concerned with impressing your friends with a big brand name.

Score: 9/10.
