Bladnoch Distillery, Newton Stewart

HeraldScotland: Bladnoch Distilliery

Bladnoch Distillery is the southernmost distillery in Scotland. Bladnoch’s rich history dates back to 1817, and in 2015 it passed into the hands of new owners who have a vision to restore it to its former glory. Recently celebrating its 200 year anniversary, it is now the oldest privately owned Scotch distillery.  The distillery is currently not open to the public while the new owners undertake designing and building a world-class visitor experience. We hope it will be open very soon, however in the meantime the picturesque setting is worth a stop simply to admire the view.

Annandale Distillery, Annan

HeraldScotland: Annandale

Formerly under the ownership of the famous Johnnie Walker & Co, the Annadale distillery was closed in 1918.  Purchased by new owners in 2007, the derelict distillery sprang back to life in November 2014, now producing two different styles of whisky.  Learn about the history of Annandale Distillery and how it produces fine Single Malt Scotch Whisky, and finish with a taste of Annandale’s exceptional whiskies. We also highly recommend a visit to the Maltings Coffee Shop in the former malting floors that have been lovingly restored and converted into a cosy retreat.
