An investigation has begun into the cause of a fire at a flat in Glasgow's Partick area.
Firefighters and police were called to the scene at Crawford Lane, close to Dumbarton Road, around 5.15pm on Thursday.
However, a spokeswoman for the fire service said the blaze was already out by the time crews arrived.
It remains unclear if anyone was hurt in the fire, but one local resident, who did not want to be named, said she could see forensic officers at the scene.
The resident added: "I came home just after 7 and could see some of the fire crews just leaving. There were two people in forensic suits coming out of the building too so I thought maybe someone had been hurt.
"The road was still closed off when I got home so it looked as though it had been a pretty bad fire at one stage.
"There was a stabbing at the Rosevale Pub nearby at the weekend too, so police were all over the place then. And for this to be happening now too, it's not very good.
"I know the two things aren't related, but it's not great to see police etc swarming the area twice in the space of just a few days."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman confirmed the service is now working with Police Scotland to discover the cause of the fire.
She said: "We were called to reports of a fire just after 5pm. Three appliances attended but we found the fire had been extinguished prior to our arrival."
Police Scotland also confirmed the incident, but could not provide details on whether anyone was in the flat at the time of the fire.
