Q: Since I had my kids and feel a bit dowdy. Do you have some tips on how to look less frumpy?

Becoming a mum is a massive change and we notice these changes in our bodies and lifestyle. Our most natural instinct after having a baby is to hide our body with baggy clothing and dark colours. But this is actually what makes us look frumpy. Fighting frump is simple and attainable for any mum. Here are my top three suggestions.

The power of a good bra

No matter what you are wearing, you'll look and feel better in it with a well-fitting bra underneath. Most mums find that their breast size has changed after pregnancy and/or nursing, so I highly recommend a trip to a department store for a bra fitting.

Add a game-changing piece

If you want to look instantly more stylish simply add a blazer and a colourful accessory such as a scarf, bag or sandals to your dark skinny jeans and top. These pieces will always keep your look fresh. You could use a scarf one day, a colourful bag the next and sandals another day - all add just the right amount of colour and interest.

Give your jeans a break

Jeans can be a great staple. But if you want a break simply swap your skinny jeans for a long flowing skirt or dress, and wear with an over-sized jumper. This look will not only flatter your figure, but will also be more comfortable, glamorous and stylish.
