INDIE rockers The View will mark Record Store Day at newly opened Assai Records in Edinburgh, a shop that plans to double as a venue.
The band will meet fans for a signing at 1pm on Saturday to celebrate the release of the 10th anniversary edition of their album Hats off to the Buskers.
The new store is the second to open in Scotland, the first being opened two years ago in Broughty Ferry.
The Grindlay Street shop manager Mark Thorne said he hopes the store will be a "pillar in Edinburgh’s music scene".
The store plans to hold regular small gigs.
Mr Thorne said: "The size of the premises means that we can also host in-store performances, which we plan to do at least once a month.”
