Drivers who are planning on travelling through Airdrie this weekend have been advised to plan ahead as an Irish Republican march weaves through the town.

Police have today set out plans as the IRBS anti-racism walk takes place on Saturday (tomorrow).

Marchers are to assemble in Kirkness Street at 10am before setting off at 10:30am.

Participants will follow the route west towards Monklands Hospital and then east into the town centre before returning to Kirkness Street where the parade will disperse.
