Never before have Scottish spectators had as much to get excited about heading into a World Championship as over the next 10 days in London with 16 Scots in the British team.

That is more than twice as many as at the last World Championships in Beijing two years ago which matched the record of seven Scots set at the inaugural event in Helsinki in 1981.

In what promises to be a historic gathering of the great and good of the sport there is even the potential or Scottish involvement on each of the 10 days.

Here is when they will be in action and what challenges await them in their bids for medals.
