ALTHOUGH, somewhat paradoxically, I class myself as a devout unbeliever, I much appreciated the words of Canon Frederick Langbridge (Poem of the Day, The Herald, August 5) who wrote “God sends great angels in our sore dismay, but little ones go in and out all day”.

The “little ones”, creating less disturbance by their presence, are probably the most effective.
