OLIVIER Ntcham wants to take on the Champions League big guns and has set his sights on Neymar's Paris St Germain.

The Frenchman, outstanding against Astana, would love to face the club he supported as a boy and who have just shattered the transfer record by buying the Brazilian superstar for £198 million.

Brendan Rodgers claimed his new midfielder could play for the best clubs in Europe and Ntcham now wants to see whether he can handle himself at this level.

"I am from Paris so obviously it would be special if we were drawn against PSG," said Ntcham. "They are a huge team and they have some very famous players.

“It would be a special tie to play against them, not just for me personally.

"I know the manager said I wouldn’t look out of place with Bayern Munich or Barcelona but I am only thinking about my team - Celtic.

“It would be good to play against teams like Bayern and Barcelona in the group stages.”

Celtic look to have recruited a top player in Ntcham. For a 21-year-old he possess incredible poise and when it was all going wrong on Tuesday, he was the one Celtic player who kept his cool and then scored the goal which killed the tie.

Ntcham said: “I was delighted to score such an important goal for the team. It was a big moment because it was a tough game.

"The most important thing was that we managed to get the result we wanted and get to the Champions League.

“We can learn from matches like Astana. There were times when we were under pressure, but we managed to hold on and then we scored a couple of goals.

“We showed we have dangerous players who can score goals against any team. It is always nice when the manager says these things."
