Celtic and Rangers fans are set to brave freezing conditions this winter as both sets of supporters take part in massive sleep-out events.

The Big Ibrox Sleep-Outs and the Celtic Sleep-Out will be taking place at their respective stadiums to raise awareness of homelessness.

The move shows just how committed Scotland is to helping to obliterate homelessness as it was revealed yesterday how a set of famous faces will be hosting another sleep-out night in Edinburgh.

Hoops fans will be bedding down under the stars at Paradise on Saturday, November 11, from 10pm to 6am, as part of the club’s 2017 Christmas appeal.

Battling the elements outdoors, fans are being reminded that the event will be “exceptionally challenging, both mentally and physically.”

Therefore, participants must be aged 18 and over and be in good physical condition to take part.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The non-refundable registration fee is £30 per person. Each participant is tasked with raising a minimum of £130 for Celtic FC Foundation’s 2017 Christmas appeal in honour of the club’s 130th anniversary. Click here for more information.

Over at Ibrox, two sleep-outs are scheduled - for Thursday, November 30 and December 1 - both from 8.30pm to 6am.

A registration fee of £20 per person is applicable and fans taking part are asked to bring warm clothing and a sleeping bag.

Every participant is asked to raise a minimum of £100 to join and, by doing so, will also become a True Blue Hero and be invited to a special reception to receive a True Blue Hero medal from a Rangers first team player next year. Head to the site here for more information.
