A 55-year-old man has been at the centre of a rescue from rocks in a flooded Moray river.

The man was with a group of people walking along the River Findhorn, when coastguards said he decided to cross the river.

Unfiortunately he was caught out by the flood conditions and took refuge on a rocky outcrop ay Randolph's Leap.

Coastguard rescue teams from Burghead, Inverness, Lossiemouth and Buckie were all sent after the alarm was raised at 3.50pm.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were also sent. Rescuers were hoping to reach the stranded man by ladder. He is said to be wet but not in danger.
