SEAN Maitland and Fraser Brown have been added to the Scotland squad ahead of the final autumn Test against Australia.

The pair have recently returned to fitness after sustaining knee and ankle injuries respectively and are now in contention to feature at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Gregor Townsend's side opened their autumn campaign with a thrilling 44-38 win over Samoa, before coming agonisingly close to a historic result on Saturday in the 22-17 defeat to world champions New Zealand.

Maitland, who has 28 caps for Scotland, last featured for the national team during the Six Nations clash with France in February, when he sustained a rib injury that ended his campaign.

Brown was involved in Scotland summer tour and featured in the win against Australia in Sydney.

The third and final autumn international will kick-off at 2.30pm in Edinburgh on Saturday.
