Pensioner dies after being attacked outside Saltcoats pub
A man attacked outside a pub in North Ayrshire has died of his injuries.
The incident happened in Green Street, Saltcoats, on Tuesday.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A 66-year-old man succumbed to his injuries in hospital earlier today.
"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
A 16-year-old man is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court in connection with the alleged attempted murder.
