THE parents of a man who drowned at a harbour 21 years ago have lodged a complaint against the Chief Inspector of Constabulary with the Justice Secretary.

Kevin Mcleod, 24, was found in Wick harbour, Caithness, in February 1997 after a night out and police at the time said his death was accidental.

But his devastated parents, Hugh and June Mcleod, believe their son was murdered and have consistently criticised police for the handling of the case.

They have now written to the minister in relation to the handling of the investigation into the death.

The Mcleods have also written to the Lord Advocate requesting he meets them.
