Man dies after Orkney cliff fall
A man has died in hospital after falling from cliffs on Orkney.
The Shetland coastguard helicopter, an RNLI lifboat and coastguard rescue teams were called to the scene at Deerness.
Police Scotland said the alert came at around 1pm on Thursday and man was winched to the top of the cliff.
The man was admitted to Balfour Hospital but staff were unable to save him.
