ALEX Salmond has gone into the security business with the SNP computer expert who met the disgraced data firm Cambridge Analytica, according to company documents.
The former First Minister has linked up with Kirk Torrance in a new company, Mount Schiehallion Ltd, which says its work is “security systems service activities”.
Mr Torrance, a respected former digital media expert at the SNP, made headlines in April after it emerged he met Cambridge Analytica on behalf of the party in 2016.

He said he dismissed the firm, which collapsed after a scandal about Facebook data, as “a bunch of cowboys”.
Slainte Media Ltd, which makes Mr Salmond’s weekly Kremlin-TV show, and which he jointly owns with former MP Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, has a 50% stake in Mount Schiehallion Ltd, with Mr Torrance owning the rest.
The company was set up in July by Mr Salmond’s Glasgow-based accountant, who has also handled the creation of his media companies.
Mount Schiehallion has also registered a website, but this is currently inactive.
Mr Torrance told The Herald: "This refers to an exciting new product currently under development to safeguard people's privacy when using the internet.
"When it is ready for release next year we look forward to helping protect folks from the Cambridge Analyticas of the world."
Mr Salmond was contacted for comment.
